Born in Siliguri, West Bengal, Richa Ghosh honed her skills in the local cricket scene and quickly rose through the ranks, catching the attention of selectors with her batting prowess and wicketkeeping abilities. She made her debut in domestic cricket, representing Bengal in age-group tournaments. Her performances at the junior level showcased her potential, and she soon found herself making strides in senior women's cricket.
She made her international debut for the Indian women's cricket team in a T20I against England in February 2019. Her aggressive batting style and ability to play big shots made an immediate impact, earning her a spot in the limited-overs squads. Notably, Richa Ghosh made headlines with a stunning knock in her third T20I against West Indies in November 2019. She scored a quick-fire 36 off 26 balls, exhibiting her aggressive batting style.
She represents the new generation of Indian women cricketers who are breaking barriers and making their mark on the international stage.
